Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is a chronic and severe brain disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally. It can cause many symptoms including hallucinations (hearing voices or seeing things that are not there), paranoia, delusions (fixed, false beliefs) or a reduced ability to express emotions.
Certain biochemical substances in the brain are believed to be involved in schizophrenia, especially a neurotransmitter called dopamine. Even though biochemical imbalances may contribute to a Schizophrenia diagnosis, stigma and discrimination of people with schizophrenia is still common.
Bio Balance Health trains Medical Doctors to test the patient’s biochemistry and measure imbalances that may contribute to the patient’s condition and symptoms. Tailoring individualised nutrient therapy combined with the patient’s treatment program may assist to improve the patient’s quality of life.
• Bio Balance Health supported research has demonstrated the combination of symptoms list, and the testing of certain biomarkers and biochemistry can improve the diagnosis of a schizoid state.
• Research to verify the usefulness of testing to provide measures which may point to a diagnosis and indicate if the treatment program is helping, is a core activity of Bio Balance Health.
• This research also shows there are differences in the chemistry of Schizophrenia sufferers. It is essential doctors understand these differences as incorrect use of medication and/or nutrients may increase the patient’s symptoms.
We train doctors to use these skills. https://biobalance.org.au/events/#dr-training-program
We have trained many doctors to use these skills and their results populate our training and our research.
Much of our work is pre-publication. See these references which illustrate our research.
Our research is self-funded. If you wish to increase and/or speed up our projects please donate……..
